MIX// SKRSINTL / WZRDRY A/V / SEGUE - A Motion to Stillness

We are excited to present for this weeks experimediamag.net weekly mix installment a special 3 part performance by SKRSINTL, WZRDRY A/V, and SEGUE. 

A Motion to Stillness - was a performance that took place on December 21, 2012. In partnership with the UBC Liu Institute for Global Issues and Silent Season Records, the evening was filled with modern meditative dub and ambient music.

We deploy sound - not just music - as a more precise and vastly more plastic mode of communication to share universal impressions and ideas both ancient and new.

Taking inspiration from both external nature as well the inner landscapes of the psyche, we present sound sculptures that evoke environments and atmospheres - both familiar and unknown - that transport the listeners to a unified field of shared human experience: a communal that transcends verbal language and cultural differences in its ability to instill a silent state of Oneness.
